If you are Dutch you spell it St. Maarten but the French spell it St. Martin or St. Martine. Regardless, the water is blue, the vibe is relaxed and the diamonds sparkle.
That's right - this place is home to some of the most amazing deals on diamonds in the world. We walked through at least 20+ stores and there were many many more. Not that we were in the market for diamonds but it was fun to look and see how low we could get the prices.

Steve, Jill, Jane and I spent most of the day shopping and then crashing on the beach. Rich and Chris did a scuba dive off of a charter boat (cha-ter boat according to Boston Rich). We had a blast. I got a braid in my hair (just 1) and the others got foot massages by the locals. We also bought some jewelry made by some locals.

Yesterdays waters were a bit rough so it was really great to be on land again. Although Steve kept swearing the island was moving (perhaps too many Heineken's???).
Tomorrow our plan in St. Thomas is to take a ferry boat to St. John and hang out on a beach that Jill and Chris know called Trunks Bay. Supposedly some great snorkeling and beaches with less crowds. We don't really care - anything near the water sound amazing to me.
I'm having problems uploading photos to this page - the satellite Internet times out before the photos can load. So words will have to do for now. We're having a GREAT time though!
Cheers!

Sounds like you're having a great time! Dad says Colby and Grady are doing well. He commented on Colby's insatiable curiosity - he really wants to know WHY?! And Grady walks around like a macho muscle man, grunting and showing us his muscles every few minutes. What a crack up!
We miss you!
