Excursions

We are really excited about the 2 excursions we have pre-booked. The first is an adventure with the sting rays off Grand Cayman. While I am a little nervous (after all, crocodile guy was killed by a sting ray) this also sounds like a lot of fun. These creatures are supposed to be some of the gentle giants of the ocean. Sting Ray City is home to a particular family of rays that have become used to human interaction and have even been filmed by National Geographic. Some have names (Ray Charles, Martha Ray) and distinct personalities.

Our other excursion so far is a complete non-adventure. It consists of mainly being pampered and served multiple chilled drinks at a private beach in Cozumel. Being our last port of call before heading home we decided this would be a great way to enjoy Mexico. I have actually never been to this southern neighbor of ours - mostly out of choice. I have been told, however, by people who have frequented Cabo and the other vacation spots in Mexico that it is a beautiful and laid back place. We fully intend to find out if that is true - while avoiding Monteczuma's revenge. While the ruins are interesting to me they don't hold the same awe factor for Steve. And the idea of a forced day of relaxation on the beach sounds heavenly to me.
