Hollywood studios

After a rough start at hs, we weren't sure how the rest of the day would go. And there were some definite highs and lows...

Indiana jones was a great stunt show and the boys really got into it with the staged fighting and stunts. Colby was unsuccessful at convincing his dad to volunteer on stage. But it was a quality show, worth the effort.

The highlight was the rockin roller coaster. One of the more intense rides, we weren't sure how the kids would do. Evidently SCarface freaks out colby but 3 inverted loops in the dark are "awesome." They both screamed with glee as we shot off in the stretch limo cars. Truly a fantastic thrill ride... awesome!

The backstage tour was ok, with some neat effects and the special treat of seeing the real costume, set & casting crews at work. But nothing too thrilling.

Unfortunately, there was an early accident at lights, motors, action so the show stalled only 5 minutes in. Given our lack of energy at the time, we bailed. Steve was falling asleep on the bus ride back. Even a milkshake from the 50s diner couldn't revive him.

A 2 hour nap did us all a lot of good. We then headed to the polynesian resort for the luau. The immediate check in was rather tedious, but the show itself was first class. And the food was great. Colby needed a little attitude adjusting; I think he is still tired. But by the end he was cheering and hollering with the best. It was a truly well done show. Complete with fire dancing, slap dancing and hula.

The boys have traded pins with a few cast members. They are so great with the kids. These will be some of their favorite souveniers.

Oh you guys, I remember the "pirates of the caribbean" ride and the "haunted house". I was worried that we would never see mitch again. I do sooo sympathize. Onward to better stuff. I envy your time together, it goes by too fast! Much love to you all,
