Palmer Gulch KOA

Less than an hour south of the Fish N Fry is the best KOA on earth and we happen to be lucky enough to stay here. This place is amazing.

A newly built general store/welcome center awaits when you pull into the large complex. Right outside is a mini strip mall complete with the following:
- Ice cream store
- Wine store & coffee shop
- Fudge / candy store
- Horse back rides
- Laundry
- one of 2 really nice pools.

Check in was great. They offer free wi-fi and even gave us plastic bags for our recycling & garbage (which they collect for free if you put it out by the street by 9 am). The welcome package included a complete list of events, amenitities, facilities, coupons and a scavenger hunt game for the kids.

As we wind our way through the 600+ site, we pass a water slide, splash park, gold panning, pancake breakfast tent, 2nd pool, horse shoe pit, volleyball, giant play set, putt putt golf and a kid-friendly store called Fiddlesticks.

The park is so nice that we have to schedule time in for the kids to just play here. Not that it is that big of deal - i thought we might have to plan time to hit a water park or putt putt but we have it here!
