Pioneer park

Sent from my Verizon Wireless 4G LTE DROID

I wish I had more to say about this park, but we arrived an hour before it closed and many things were shut down. It was free to enter and from that standpoint it looks like an incredible park for the community. There is a large sternwheel boat that sits in the center of the park and has a large diorama collection depicting towns in this region (up to 200 miles away) on tiny scale. There are some eclectic collections, including a train museum and pioneer museum worth checking out. There is also an old gold rush town that appears to have about a dozen or so businesses (including old time photos, artists, food, etc) but most were shut down. I am guessing that when open, this place could be some fun. Unfortunately our timing wasn't quite right on this. But glad we stopped to check it out. We have lotto n the agenda here in Fairbanks.
