Cody Rodeo

We got to the KOA at about 7 pm and rush to get set up and showered. Which feels divine. We are all tired but the showers do wonders to improve our energy levels. We are in the van by 8 and headed out to the rodeo.

We missed the first event but are able to catch most of the rodeo for the night. As always, the events are highly entertaining, showcasing the skills of riders from all over the west region. The clowns are funny and the weather perfect.

All the guys make their way over to the back of the arena to say hi to Dusty before his ride. He is already getting ready so he doesn't have a lot of time but is able to say hi. It's fun for the kids to see the activity back there.

Dusty rides the bull, which is the last event of the night. He is the first to compete and unfortunately wasn't able to stay on for 8 seconds. Only one of the bull riders even qualifies for time. But it is exciting to watch and we are glad he isn't hurt.

The rodeo is a great way to end the week. We head back to the campground and put the kids to bed. The grown ups enjoy some time outside with a drink, reflecting on the week and the happenings.
