Enzedders take ice cream seriously. Giapos takes it to an art level.
Colby saw a post on Instagram for this place where cones become art and ice cream is an experience. So we HAD to try it.
There was a long line when we reached this small retail spot near downtown. We waited about 10 minutes to be greeted by an employee who walked us through the decision making process. Which was bonkers. See this link to determine what you would have ordered: https://www.giapo.com/
She started off with samples of their best sellers, which ranged from Home Pokey (honeycomb bits in vanilla ice cream) to hazelnut to caramel supreme. The ice.cream alone was legit but then came decision #2: the bowl. These options included waffle cones dipped in gold chocolate to white chocolate cones to hot cross buns cones to what I ordered: Yorkshire egg pudding cup. Filled with Hokey Pokey of course.
The final choice is what over the top ornament or topping you chose to adorn your ice cream. Colby selected a white chocolate Sky Tower; Grady and Steve opted for giant white chocolate Easter eggs. Other options where donuts, french fries or picture frames.
Each one was decadent and a bit too much. Should have shared but the experience of it was like no other ice cream artistry. No wonder this place is world reknowned.
