Pretty Pretty Princess Cays

First off, the boat is HUGE. The Caribbean Princess can hold something like 3,000 passengers and then almost as many crew members. It is unbelievable.

Boarding was really interesting - they do a good job of moving 3,000 tourists through but let's face it - that is 3,000 people who have to get their room keys, orient themselves on this floating hotel and find their room.

Our room, by the way, is excellent. The balcony is SOOO worth it and while the bed is not the greatest (2 twins pushed together) it is fine for a week. The restaurants are incredible and the nightclubs are lots of fun. Went to a comedy show last night that was pretty entertaining.

Today we spent soaking up the sun on the white sandy shores of Princess Cays. It is a small island off of Eutheria (sp?) that Princess owns. It was very nice - incredibly relaxing to ride the gentle waves of the warm and very blue water with a cold drink in your hand. We also tried snorkeling (first time for Erin althought Steve has done this before). It took a little getting used to (breathing is a little tricky) but it was fun. Then we crashed beneath the shade of our "cabana" - a big umbrella that shaded us from the sun. In all it was a wonderful and very relaxing day.

Tonight we are planning on another dinner with our group. Tomorrow starts with a couples massage for Steve and I and then we are at sea for the day. We'll see what the day brings...
