So they mean it when they call it the red eye. Steve's eyes are bleary from the 2 hours of chunked sleep we caught on the plane. But we arrived in Miami at 6 am local time (read 3 am our time) only to learn that the Princess transport would not show until 11:30.
So we rented a Saturn mid-sive SUV and hit the road. We found our hotel on our own and were actually able to check in at 8 AM, allowing about 3 hours of sleep before meeting up with our travel companions, Rich and Jane Lennox (from Boston) and Chris and Jill Cole (from Macon, GA).
Spent some time in the pool at our hotel catching up with these great colleagues and friends and are heading out for a night in Fort Lauderdale.
We also verified with Princess that our cruise has been rerouted so it is official.
The BIG boat and adventure begins tomorrow....

Have a fun time! Can't wait to hear about it when you return.
We had a fantastic day at the lake with the boys! They had a great time playing the water, taking a boat ride and just running around with all of the kids there. They should sleep good for Mom tonight!
