Little Green Dune Buggy

After a few delays on the rental company behalf, we finally got the Arctic Cat to test out on the dunes. It was a lot like a Kabota but had more vroom and getty-up.

Todd was our generous guide, taking us out to areas we never would have ventured on our own. I cannot even begin to describe how much fun it is to be out on those giant sand hills with the sun shining over the ocean. We only had an hour and it went too fast. But thanks to Todd and his knowledge of the dunes, we saw a lot.

The kids could not stop smiling and giving the thumbs up. It was so incredible and I wish we had a little more time to get comfortable with it. But highlights included an unexpected spray of water while driving through a stream, an unforgettable sunset and the unmistakable thrill of heading straight down a hill. We also got to watch Todd take on some hill climbs that had us cringing and cheering at the same time.
We spent the remaining hours at the Nelsons' campsite. The boys watched movies with Brendon while we mingled with the other families in the park and enjoyed BBQ and great company. It was a really fun night and we are so grateful to the Nelsons for hosting us.
