Turns out they have an Arctic Cat that sets 4. It is sort of like a souped-up version of a Kabota with harnesses and roll bars. Unfortunately they had it rented until 4 pm so we have found other fun ways to entertain ourselves and will meet our rental at 4 pm on the dunes.
We spent most of our time touring the Umpqua Lighthouse and corresponding Coast Guard Museum. The guide is a retired policeman from Arizona who gets free space to park his RV in return for doing tours. He was great - funny and interesting with facts about the lighthouse. The boys really liked it, especially getting to peek inside the lens of the lighthouse. It was spectacular!
On the way back we stopped at the beach to go for a quick walk. Upon reaching the sand, Grady said, "It feels like REAL sand, mom!" I'm not sure what fake sand is or feels like but yup - it was real sand.
We are about to head out on our ATV adventure across the dunes. Gotta go!

What an adventure you all are having. Taylor is very Jealous that you are having snow. However, there are rumors that along with the horrible rain, and soon to be windy (gusts of up to 50 mph) weather we're seeing, there is a chance we'll see snow this weekend too. I'll be warm and dry in my house, the party and Easter at the Farmers. The boys will be in the trailer camping with Kelly and Jackie out past Darington.
