Magic evening

We came back for the evening and had a great time. First up we went to buzz lightyear to shoot zurg and his evil aliens. Somehow I hit a key target and scored over 250,000 points! Colby loved the ride and grady enjoyed it too. We grabbed more fp's on our way out and colby racked up over 100,000 points when we went on this ride after space mt.

Jumped in line for space mountain and even with fp had to wait 20 minutes. But it was well worth the wait. This classic ride is a good thrill through the dark solar system. Fast, thrilling and truly a great ride. Boys said it was a little scary but still fun. Steve said it was his favorite.

We then headed over to big thunder for one more thrill. Somehow we timed it perfectly: as we rolled & rocked through the ride, the fireworks show went into full effect. As we shot around a corner, the biggest firework ball I have ever seen erupted right in front of us. I swear you could reach out and touch it. And the show went on for the duration of the ride. I will never forget that sight or the look on colbys face during that ride. His giggles and screams of delight were so fun to hear as he stuck his hands in the air as we rounded a hairpin turn. So much fun.

Given the late hour and likeliehood of getting soaked, we passed on a final ride on splash mt. Instead, we grabbed a late dinner and found a spot on main street for the electrical parade.

The lights and floats were amazing and brought back memories from we were kids. I think some of the floats were the originals! It was a lenghty parade, offering a delight for the eyes impossible to capture on film.

We spent a few more minutes shopping on our way out of the park, then caught the bus to hotel. It was late and we were all beat. What a fun day.

The boys get to play today in magic kingdom while I am in the national board meeting. I am sure they will have some fun things to report. I miss them already but am looking forward to this conference.
