Tomorrow we set forth on another grand adventure in true American style.
Our destination: Mt Rushmore, the Badlands and Montana
Our transportation: The VerHoeven Vehicle (trusty Chevy truck and Rainier trailer) and the Cole Caravan (newly purchased Foretravel motorhome with VW Vanagan in tow)
Our crew: Navigator Erin, Lead Driver Stephen, Historian Colby, Commedian Grady, Mechanic Papa (Gordy) and Entertainer Grandma (Chris)
Our ininerary: through Montana with a stop where Custer last stood, onward through rally territory (Deadwood/Sturgis) to the great Presidential monument (Mt Rushmore). Then east a little further where the naughty children live (Badlands) then north through Teddy land (Theodore Roosevelt National Park). We make our way home via the hi-line (HWY 2).
Our goal: make lasting memories, laugh, fish, get lost and have fun

A little Road Trip Song
(Sung to the tune of "Gilligan's Island")
Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
A tale of a great road trip
That started from the town of Snohomish
Aboard two RV ships.
The first was a Rainier trailer,
pulled by a Chevy truck.
The second was a Foretravel
with a Vanagan for luck.
Their course was plotted and planned out,
with lots of fun for all
They just might be too busy
To email or call. To email or call….
The group set out for the east towards Rushmore and the Badlands
With the Navigator
the Lead Driver,
The Commedian and his jokes,
The Entertainer
The Mechanic and Historian,
Here on the Great Badlands Trip
So this is the tale of the drive-aways,
They're gone for a long, long time,
We know their rigs can pull a lot,
But it’s an uphill climb.
The Navigator and the Entertainer too,
Will do their very best,
To make the others comfortable,
In their mobile nests.
Cell phones, laptops, and GPS,
There’s lots of technology
Do you think that they will stay in touch?
We’ll just have to wait and see.
We’ll just have to wait and see.
So join us here each day my friends,
You're sure to get a smile,
From the stories of the Navigator
Recorded mile by mile
Recorded mile by mile
You r too funny! Uh oh... a four hour trip turned into... a 4 1/2 )bathroom break)! No biggie. Great song - we enjoyed it and our neighbors in the campground likely did too.
