Who knew the Flinstones could still be relevant? We stopped at the Flinstone park due to Grady's fervent desire to go. He could hardly sit sit still and raced through the gates to see the park, Colby in tow.
I will honestly tell you that no exhibit we have seen has generated this level of interest from our often fickle little boy. But the site of Fred, Barney and Dino had this little boy jumping, hollering and racing through Bedrock.
This park has not changed much since I was here 20 years ago. There is still the Iron Horse train that tours you through town and a real "Fred" automobile(driven by a park employee)that tours your around the dino themed playground. The houses look much the same, and Mt. Rockmore is always a hit. But the sheer joy and enthusiasm on the boys' faces was truly a surprise.
Grady had a slight meltdown when leaving the gift shop without a giant stuffed Fred (gift shop addiction is a sad thing) but all in all it was a great experience for all of us.

We traveled to Bedrock as kids and I can still hear my little sister yelling "There's Fred, there's Fred" from the backseat of the car as we approached!! Great times:)

WAIT! Grady was ok with the big characters? Grady? WOW, that's an impressive place. I'm so glad everyone is having a great time.
